'Windswept' is part of my Wild Series. It shows grasses moving in the breeze. I find it meditative and calming - a reminder of the beauty in simple things.

I created this piece using my landscape photography, which I bond to wooden panels and layer with molten wax, which I burn in with a live flame. I etch between the layers and add inks and other pigments, creating texture and depth. The resulting artwork is as robust as an oil painting, but its atmosphere is ethereal and dreamlike - a memory of a vanishing moment when a breeze began to stir on a quiet day.

This triptych can be framed as one piece in a box frame, or each panel can be framed individually and hung together. Alternatively, it can be hung as it is. It comes with picture hardware attached to each panel.
