‘Rosy Dawn’ (2024) is inspired by my love for a wild Eastern Rosella who visited my garden every morning many years ago. She helped mend my broken heart (broken by the loss of my beloved pet) and inspired many of my most cherished artworks.

This piece is created by burning layers of beeswax and resin into a wood-mounted enlarged photograph of the wild rosella. Each layer is etched and inked and fused to the layer below, creating an archival, gemlike surface that has an ethereal glow.
