‘Koala Disappearing’ is an original encaustic artwork by Australia-based wildlife artist, Tanya Ogilvie-White. It depicts a koala joey and her mother, caught up in the devastating Australian bushfires of 2019-2020. It’s part of a series of artworks the artist has created to draw international attention to the plight of the northern koala, numbers of which are rapidly dwindling. Urgent action is needed to conserve this precious animal to prevent its extinction.

Profits from this series are being donated by the artist to local koala rehabilitation and conservation.

Materials: Encaustic with raw pigments and gold leaf on wooden board.
