‘Cloud Story’ is part of the Dreamscapes Series - a collection of meditative encaustics that are inspired by the beautiful Brunswick River, which joins the sea just north of Australia’s iconic town of Byron Bay. Most evenings, the river lights up in exquisite hues of gold, apricot and rose as the sun sinks behind the hinterland hills, and the local birdlife makes the most of the last rays before nightfall. It’s a beautiful place, where dreams are made.

This unique artwork captures the Brunswick River’s ethereal mood and transports the spirit out into nature. The panels are created using an ancient Greek process involving burning layers of hardened beeswax and raw pigments into cradled and braced wooden boards. The three panels are designed to hang close together on the wall and are prepped with picture hardware.
