Bee-eaters at Last Light

A$2,800.00

'Bee-eaters at Last Light' has a dreamy quality, created by burning 50-60 layers of beeswax and resin onto a hardwood panel, with oils, inks and pastels embedded in between each layer. The effect is ethereal, creating a soft light from the gently reflective surface.

'Bee-eaters at Last Light' (a mother and her chick) is part of my unique Last Light Series, which celebrates the ethereal qualities of encaustic (hot wax) and the vibrant colors of cold wax and oil.

This archival piece does not need to be framed. It is prepped with picture hardware, ready to hang.
