'Ainslee and Rupert'

A$1,900.00

‘Ainslee and Rupert’ is an original encaustic artwork by Australia-based wildlife artist, Tanya Ogilvie-White. It depicts a koala joey and his mother, caught up in the devastating Australian bushfires of 2019-2020. It’s inspired by the story of two real life koalas, called Ainslee and Rupert, who were rescued from the flames, nursed back to health, and released back into the wild.

‘Ainslee and Rupert’ is part of a series of artworks the artist has created to draw international attention to the plight of the northern koala, numbers of which are rapidly dwindling. Urgent action is needed to conserve this precious animal to prevent its extinction.

Materials: Encaustic with raw pigments and gold leaf on wooden board.

Dimensions: 33cm x 24cm x 4cm.

Professionally framed and ready to hang.

This fine art original can be shipped internationally. Please email the artist for further information: tanya@scorchingskiesart.com
